My Microsoft Word 2010 spell check is not working

Ok so i have microsoft word 2010 and its on a brand new computer its a sony Vaio and its always worked before but one day I was using it and it said there is not enough memory or disc space to complete this when i clicked on spell check and it had never said that before. I checked to see how much space I had on my coputer left and it was over 100 gigabytes. And I downloaded the Microsoft Word Program off the internet so theres no disc for it. Does anyone know whats wrong with it cause I need it fixed before I go back to school.
